Governor Cooper has issued Executive Order 138 “EASING RESTRICTIONS ON TRAVEL, BUSINESS OPERATIONS, AND MASS GATHERINGS: PHASE 1 EFFECTIVE 5 PM MAY 8, 2020.”  Phase 1 of this order allows parks to open on a limited basis.  The Fairview Park will re-open in accordance with the Executive Order (EO). 

Here are some highlights from the EO that will apply to the park:

Maintain social distancing of 6 feet or more.

No mass gatherings of more than 10 people.

Playground equipment will be off-limits.

Trail around the lake will be open.
